For the greater part of this year, I have kept our Bitcoin (or gold as an alternative to more risk-averse investors) allocation at around 10%, which is about the same size as a core stock holding. I believe in Bitcoin even more now at $18,000 than I did when I bought at $300, $3,000, and even $17,000.

It is not “too late” to buy as I believe there’s a chance we could see $250,000 Bitcoin in our lifetimes. My opinion is to dollar cost average into it by buying small amounts over time to reduce timing risk. Please watch my new YouTube video for why Bitcoin could be worth $500,000 over time and my favorite ways to buy it.

For now, I have reduced our investment allocation towards real estate. I continue to read into the potential overvaluation in both private and commercial real estate and am cautious of this. Many in our global investor community are also having difficulty gaining exposure to U.S. real estate other than through commercial REITs, which may be exposed to the overvaluation.

For those of you that are uninterested in or unable to buy real estate, I would distribute that allocation equally among more cash and Bitcoin. For those of you still looking for good real estate options, I believe that Fundrise is a very solid choice. I will continue to be on the lookout for other public REIT options.
